The Red Oak Legacy Society
An Invitation to Join the Red Oak Legacy Society
Over the last 75 years, The Tatnall School has been fortunate to have a successful partnership with its most important supporters – you. Your generosity over the years has enabled The Tatnall School to expand its horizons to offer greater resources and opportunities to the students and the community. We appreciate your support.
Members of the Red Oak Legacy Society have expressed their commitment to The Tatnall School through a very special and important form of financial support.
Once you complete your estate plans, please fill out our member profile form to let us know. We would like to thank you for your generosity by including you in the Red Oak Legacy Society.
There are several types of planned gifts that Tatnall now accepts:
- Life Income Gifts: Did you know that charitable gifts can be structured to provide you (and/or your designated beneficiaries) with an income for life. Such Life Income Gifts provide donors with a current charitable income tax deduction, the security of a lifetime income, and the knowledge that their gift will provide for the future of Tatnall. There are two primary methods to structure Life Income Gifts: Charitable Gift Annuities and Charitable Remainder Trusts.
- Testamentary Gifts: Many donors may choose to make a planned gift to Tatnall by including the School in their will, a revocable trust, a retirement plan, a life insurance policy or in their estate plan. A planned gift may provide philanthropic planning opportunities as well as provide possible income tax and estate tax savings. Did you know that you can designate Tatnall as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy or your IRA?
- Charitable Lead Trusts: A Charitable Lead Trust may be structured to provide Tatnall with a stream of current income and pass assets to a donor’s family – usually children and grandchildren – at a significantly reduced gift and estate tax cost. A charitable lead trust is a powerful family wealth transfer planning technique that can also be a source of tremendous support to Tatnall.
Your membership involves no dues, obligations, or solicitations, but it does allow us to thank you and recognize you for the plans you have made, and it may inspire generosity in others.
Benefits of membership in the Red Oak Legacy Society also include annual luncheons and invitations to special events and seminars.
The most important benefit you will receive from joining the Red Oak Legacy Society is the satisfaction derived from making a lasting contribution to our long-term success.
