The Society is named after Southwestern's fifth president, Dr. Robert E. Naylor, who served 20 years from 1958-1978. At the heart of Dr. Naylor's presidency was a passion for evangelism and missions, and he succinctly described the seminary's world outreach: "The sun never sets on Southwestern." Members of the Robert E. Naylor Society have expressed their commitment to Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and her world outreach through a very special and important form of financial support.
These ministry partners have named the Seminary as the ultimate beneficiary of a planned gift of $25,000 or more. Such gifts might include a bequest and/or charitable income gifts, such as charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder unitrusts, charitable remainder annuity trusts, or gifts of life insurance.
Once you complete your estate plans, please fill out our member profile form to let us know. We would like to thank you for your generosity by including you in the Robert E. Naylor Society.
Your membership involves no dues, obligations, or solicitations, but it does allow us to thank you and recognize you for the plans you have made, and it may inspire generosity in others.
Benefits of membership in the Robert E. Naylor Society also include invitations to special events and a subscription to Southwestern News.
The most important benefit you will receive from joining the Robert E. Naylor Society is the satisfaction derived from making a lasting contribution to our driving force, which is, as stated by Dr. Naylor, "to train God-called men and women for a witness to the whole world."
