As a member of the Daughters of Charity, Sister Mary Louise dedicated more than 50 years of her life to heathcare ministry. She was comfortable with people from all walks of life. Her great heart went out to all those she met in her various roles as teacher, nurse, administrator, Sister Servant, health councillor and as a member of the pastoral care team. She served as president of Saint Agnes Hospital from 1983 to 1991. Sister Mary Louise once wrote, “Love is the heart of all our relations with others. It is the creative force within ourselves that binds us to others, that enables us to put up with ourselves, to bear with other people, to compromise, to cooperate, to contribute, to accept responsibility, to live and work with others.”
