The Hebrew word commonly translated as "charity" –tzedakah– actually has a much deeper meaning. The root of tzedakah is tzedek, which means justice and reflects the Jewish tradition's view of right and wrong, social responsibility, and fairness. By choosing to support the New Israel Fund, you are ensuring that the values enshrined in Israel's Declaration of Independence will light path of justice for this generation as well as future ones. We hope you will consider leaving a lasting legacy by including the New Israel Fund in your will or trust, by beneficiary designation or through a life-income gift. These pages are a starting point for considering how you can ensure that your legacy reflects your support of an Israel based based on openness and pluralism.
