Naming Opportunities

A Living Legacy
Since Menno Haven's beginning, many donors have taken the opportunity to memorialize an individual on our campuses in perpetuity. It is a very special way of remembering a loved one or showing appreciation for someone who has left an impression on you or had a special effect on your life.

Honoring someone through a Charitable gift is a way to pay tribute to someone while at the same time assuring that a charity benefits from your gift. There are a number of ways you can memorialize a person from a garden to a tree or room in a building.

There seems no better way to create a "living legacy" of someone than having their name memorialized. It makes a statement of their value and contribution during their lifetime and the meaning of this person to you.

Naming Opportunities
The naming opportunities are unlimited on our campuses and offer almost any option someone would want in a memorial. We have established three programs that many have taken advantage of as follows:

Tree memorial — There are a selection of approximately 25 trees that can be chosen that include a bronze plaque placed on a granite block installed at the tree's base, OR

Campus bench — Our three campuses offer many location to place a bench as a memorial. Each bench will have a plaque attached showing whose memory it is in.

Memorial Gardens — Throughout our campuses, we have a number of gardens that have memorial plaques that can offer the opportunity to memorialize.

Many other options for naming are available such as a building, room, a unit, equipment, or recognition walls. If you have interest, the Gift Planning area welcomes the opportunity to discuss what is available and the associated cost.

(Pricing of trees, bences, and gardens are available at the Gift Planning Office.)
