Charitable Family of Funds

For over 40 years, Menno Haven Retirement Communities has been the recipient of many gifts from our residents, their families, our employees, and our many friends worldwide. As a result of these gifts, we have developed a "Family of Charitable Funds" to accept such contributions.

  • Annual Fund - provides assistance in supplementing our organization's operations on a daily basis. This assistance reaches across the organization.

  • Benevolent Funds - perpetual funds that generate income to supplement the care of residents who have depleted their funds. We have established funds in three areas: Menno Village (nursing home and assisted living, Penn Hall (nursing home and residents), and Omar Martin Fund (supplemental care for retired ministers).

  • Capital Gift Fund - helps to supplement maintenance and building of facilities purchase of equipment as needed.

  • Chaplain’s Fund - provides pastoral care services with additional funds above their operating budget and Sunday service offerings for Christian outreach programs on our campuses.

  • Lew Leaman Wellness Institute - supports the three wellness centers on all campuses.

  • Resident Enrichment Fund - supports supplies and equipment for resident activities and programs, our libraries and the beautification projects by the residents of the campuses

  • Walden Special Bequest Fund - provides the donor with the opportunity to fund a special area or program that they may have an interest.

  • Walden Memory Care Fund - gifts to this fund provide each donor with the opportunity to enhance the life and surroundings of those with special memory care needs in our Walden Alzheimer's Unit.

These are just a few of the funds in place that can accept your gift if you so choose. If there are other areas of interest that you may wish to contribute, we will make available a way that you may do so.
