Canterbury Society

Purpose

Society

The Canterbury Society was founded in honor of St. Augustine of Canterbury, the patron saint of the Marmion Abbey Church, to:

  • Recognize the friends of Marmion who make the Abbey, Academy or Guatemala Mission a beneficiary of a planned gift.
  • Encourage others, by example, to consider a planned gift.
  • Assure the continued financial health of Marmion, now and in the future.

Invitation to Join

Canterbury Society members make an estate or other planned gift commitment to Marmion. Qualifying commitments include:

Membership Benefits

  • Recognition in appropriate Marmion publications, with expressions of gratitude by the monks of Marmion. Wishes to remain anonymous will be respected
  • Inspiration for others to consider a planned gift
  • Annual Canterbury Society Mass on first Sunday of May, with Brunch in the Abbey Refectory with the monks
  • Satisfaction for making a lasting contribution to Marmion's future
