Cpl Ed "Matt" Matricardi USMC

Cpl Ed "Matt" Matricardi USMC enlisted in the Marine Corps and volunteered for Vietnam. In 1967, as the corporal squad leader of Combined Action Platoon Alpha Three, he was wounded in a village south of Phu Bai, and awarded the Purple Heart. Years later, through his Unit's annual reunion, Ed has stayed in contact with his fellow Marines. "I really do believe that the friendship and bond between members of the Corps is like no other." After serving proudly on the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation's Board of Directors, his loyalty to the Corps is stronger than ever. "Like every Marine, I am deeply committed to preserving our Corps' heritage. A gift from a will or trust is an easy way to honor the legacy of Marines for future generations while providing invaluable support for our treasured institution – the National Museum of the Marine Corps. That's why I included the Foundation in my estate plan
