Meet Our Donors

We thank all our planned-gift donors for their generous support. Here are some of their stories.

Mike Alexa '70

My mom, Katherine Alexa instilled in me a sense of responsibility and duty when it comes to helping others. I remember how hard she worked to take care of us after my dad died. My two brothers and 1 were able to complete our Prep educations because of her.

A short time ago, my wife Betty and 1decided to contribute to the Academic Excellence Foundation as a way of helping deserving Prep students attend a school that has provided so much for me. I was able to go because of the help of others, so, now 1felt it was time to return the favor.

Charity begins at home. I believe in what this school stands for. I am fortunate to be able to give back to something I believe in. I was given an oppoliunity, and now it is time tor me to help others.

Marty Eisert '58

I was fortunate enough to have been able to obtain a Prep Education, and what an education it turned out to be. It prepared me well for life and I have profited handsomely from it throughout my entire career.

What better way, then, of expressing my profound gratitude to Prep than by supporting it financially by contributing to the Academic Excellence Foundation. The Foundation offers scholarship aid to current Prep students to cover their tuition expense.

I hope and pray that Prep will continue its mission of educating young men for years and years to come.

Don Murray '49, Owen Murray '52, Bob Murray '56, Jim Murray '61

God is good to you, and you have the opportunity to "Pass It On". This was the theme of a homily by Fr. Bob Brugger recently.

I had seen the movie "Pay It Forward"; a story about a young boy who went out and performed good deeds for others. His hope was for each of the people whose lives he touched would pass another good deed forward, and they did.

Prep was a positive and rewarding experience for my brothers Don '49; Owen '52; Bob '56 and myself. Now we hope to provide the opportunity for a young person to have a similar experience by donating to our family fund in the Academic Excellence Foundation which helps future Prep students pay their tuition.

And when their time comes, perhaps they can share their Prep experience and "Pay It Forward".

Len Zawistowski '72

The Zawistowski Family is intertwined with the Prep Family. When your Father, Uncles, and Brother are alumni, you're a part of the extended Prep Family. It is a fundamental part of who we are and defines from where we came.

Like all families, we look for ways to strengthen and nurture the family. At the instigation of my Uncle Joe '52, we established the Zawistowski Family Fund within the Academic Excellence Foundation.

Our family makes regular cash contributions to the fund, as well as taking advantage some other Planned Giving vehicles. I have made the Foundation a beneficiary of an old life insurance policy, and recently, one of my sons, John Peter joined the Zawistowski Fund as a friend of Prep by doing the same. Remember, only God comes before Family!
